Sharing Groundwater Demand Management Solutions for a Sustainable Future
Join our community to advance sustainable groundwater management for California and beyond.

Groundwater is a vital, invisible, and often mismanaged resource.
Healthy groundwater systems are crucial to communities, ecosystems, and economies in California and worldwide.
Mismanagement of groundwater has led to a number of undesirable results, including: lowering of groundwater levels, reductions in groundwater storage, seawater intrusion, degradation of water quality, land subsidence, and depletion of interconnected surface water.
Groundwater demand management will play a critical role in achieving sustainability when supply-side projects (i.e., direct and in-lieu recharge) are not enough to bridge the gaps between groundwater supplies and demands.
